why sun: Chu Chu

“Chu Chu”, by why sun, arrives like the opening scene of a teen drama filmed somewhere between memory and imagination. The track feels like waking up in a room wallpapered with Lene Marlin posters, the soft glow of a flip phone charging beside half-used hair gel, plastic flip-flops precariously aimed at tomorrow. This is music with “main character energy”, but filtered through the lens of someone who’s already lived a couple of seasons. It moves with the breezy confidence of skateboarding to school without checking the time, then jumps forward to scoring your first big break at an NYC office job. “Chu Chu” bridges past and present with the kind of emotional logic that only pop nostalgia understands.
