The design of this piece of furniture by Yael Benoliel Goldenberg is meant to hold two people and make them come closer.
Câliner (pronounced Ca-li-neh) means to kiss and cuddle in French. The designers’ interest in romance, relationships, and intimate ones is what inspired this design. The need for touch and silence; Could these be aroused and answered through design? Knowing the busy, modern life can make it sometimes impossible to get quality time with our loved ones, Câliner creates a place where two can meet, a sanctuary for a loving couple. Ironically it will become part of their routine, part of their hectic lives, and will serve different needs, but at the end of the day, when finally in need, it’ll be the place where you and your loved one can get a peaceful, intimate and close moment.
