Hublot and Zünc Studio unite art, technology, and time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Big Bang watch
Hublot marked the 20th anniversary of its Big Bang watch in 2025 with a visionary campaign for Watches & Wonders Geneva, produced by London-based Zünc Studio.
The commission called for a hero film that could honor two decades of innovation while projecting the future of horology through cinematic precision.
With an open brief, Zünc took full creative responsibility to craft a film that resonates with the spirit of Hublot—technical mastery expressed through pure visual artistry.
The narrative connects two contrasting realms: a cosmic landscape inspired by the explosive energy of the Big Bang’s origin, and a meticulously detailed laboratory that symbolizes Hublot’s ongoing pursuit of material innovation.
These worlds intertwine through transitions that appear to fold space and time, forming a single visual continuum where scientific progress meets creative imagination.

Each frame carries the meticulous attention that defines both brands. Developed entirely in-house, the film went through an intensive R&D process where ideas, atmospheres, and visual techniques were tested in rapid succession.
The result is a piece that communicates clarity through complexity—a synthesis of visual rhythm, lighting precision, and temporal fluidity that mirrors the craftsmanship of the watch itself.

Rendering in Octane allowed the studio to achieve a level of realism that reflects the tactile nature of Hublot’s materials. Light reacts with glass, ceramic, and metal surfaces in a way that feels physically true, creating an almost photographic sense of dimension. This focus on optical fidelity reinforces Hublot’s identity as a brand where innovation is not just seen but felt.
The film premiered at Hublot’s keynote during Watches & Wonders Geneva and played throughout their immersive booth, enveloping visitors in a sensory experience of cosmic scale and refined craftsmanship. It became more than a visual statement—it was a meditation on precision, time, and the continuous evolution of design.
Zünc Studio’s approach remains grounded in collaboration and experimentation. As a boutique team, they maintain a hands-on methodology that carries each project from initial concept to final rendering.
Their portfolio extends beyond watchmaking into partnerships with YSL Beauty, BMW, Bucherer, and Google DeepMind, each project driven by the same balance of technological excellence and artistic intuition.
Through their work with Hublot, they captured not only a brand milestone but the essence of a shared creative philosophy—where innovation becomes timeless expression.
