Milton Gulli, Tayob J. : Ainda.

Milton Gulli, Tayob J. : Ainda.

Milton Gulli and Tayob J.’s “Ainda” is not a breakup song but a declaration of persistence. The Portuguese word ainda, meaning still or yet, carries the weight of someone measuring what remains after something important has ended. The song turns that single idea into its centre of gravity, a moment where romantic loss and personal survival occupy the same sentence. When Gulli repeats “Ainda sou eu,” the phrase works less like comfort than like proof. Something has disappeared, but the voice remains to say so. By the end, “Ainda” leaves that declaration suspended in motion. The relationship may have passed, but the person who lived inside it has not. The groove carries that fact a little further down the road.
