Nothing introduces Headphone (1) Pro, its new over-ear headphones developed for studio-grade listening and launched with global brand ambassador V. The Nothing Headphone (1) Pro pairs a redesigned titanium and aluminium construction with a triple-driver audio architecture, extending the company’s transparent visual language into a more technically focused model. Available in black and white, the headphones arrive alongside a campaign starring V, photographed by Dorothea Sing Zhang, connecting Nothing’s approach to technology with the artist’s interest in experimentation, analogue media and sound.
The exterior retains the recognisable geometry of Nothing’s first over-ear headphones while reconsidering its proportions, surfaces and physical comfort. Titanium and aluminium form the structural framework, accompanied by transparent elements that expose selected details beneath the surface. A 2 mm wider headband, padding increased by 1 mm and foam that is 50 percent softer than on Headphone (1) refine the fit. Each earcup can pivot by up to 20 degrees, while the complete headphone weighs 327 grams. An included hardshell case uses a soft TPU lining and an integrated loop for attaching straps, charms or keychains.
Inside each earcup, three separate drivers divide the frequency spectrum instead of assigning it to a single speaker. A 40 mm bass driver covers the lower frequencies, a precision dynamic driver handles vocal and instrumental detail, and an xMEMS tweeter responds to frequencies extending to 40 kHz. This configuration gives individual frequency ranges dedicated hardware and enables more precise control through the Nothing X app. Headphone (1) Pro is Hi-Res Audio certified for wired and wireless playback, supporting LDAC up to 24-bit/96 kHz and lossless USB-C playback up to 24-bit/192 kHz.
Nothing worked with London’s Metropolis Studios on the headphones’ acoustic tuning. A Flat EQ mode provides a neutral profile intended for reviewing, producing and mixing music, while a spatial mode references the acoustic characteristics of the studio’s Studio B. Five additional EQ profiles address Neo-Jazz, British Rock, UK Rap and Grime, Electronica and Bass. Dynamic Spatial Audio with head tracking expands this system through Standard, Studio B, Club, Concert Hall and Live House environments, allowing the same hardware to move between controlled studio listening and more spatial playback.
Noise control is handled by ten microphones, with three feed-forward and two feedback microphones positioned on each side. They analyse surrounding noise and acoustic leakage in real time, supported by adaptive active noise cancellation and an 8 mm silicone baffle wall designed to limit sound leakage. Nothing states that the system increases noise-cancellation performance by 5 dB and broadens its effective coverage by 40 percent compared with Headphone (1). A separate four-microphone environmental noise-cancellation system uses beamforming and processing trained on more than 30 million real-world audio samples to isolate speech during calls.
The collaboration with V extends the launch beyond a conventional hardware campaign. Nothing cites movement-led music videos and early motion studies by Eadweard Muybridge among the visual references for Dorothea Sing Zhang’s imagery, with V’s silhouette layered through the campaign to trace the creative process. Headphone (1) Pro offers up to 30 hours of playback with active noise cancellation enabled and 68 hours with it switched off, while a five-minute charge provides two hours of ANC playback. Rated IP52 for dust and water resistance, the headphones are available from September 29, 2026, priced at €349, £349 and $399.
