A new Bang & Olufsen expression of acoustic mastery through the Beolab 90 Titan Edition
A century of audio heritage takes shape in the Beolab 90 Titan Edition, created as a tribute to Bang & Olufsen’s 100-year milestone and the decade-long legacy of its flagship loudspeaker. Emerging from the brand’s Atelier program, the edition stands as an elevated expression of craftsmanship, guided by the company’s ongoing pursuit of technical refinement and sculptural presence. It channels the original Beolab 90’s influence on contemporary acoustic philosophy while presenting a renewed vision of material precision.
Kristian Teär, CEO of Bang & Olufsen, describes the edition as a celebration of the brand’s longstanding commitment to innovation and design, representing a moment where artistry and technology meet to produce an object shaped for longevity. This intention resonates through every detail of the Titan Edition, where its structural components form a visual narrative around material purity and acoustic intent.

The Beolab 90 Titan Edition features a 65kg aluminium cabinet shaped through meticulous hand-sandblasting using particles derived from volcanic rock, giving the surface an unrefined yet timeless finish. This textured shell contrasts with polished base panels that introduce visual lightness, creating the impression that the form hovers above the ground. The interplay of matte surfaces and reflective elements reinforces the architectural character of the speaker.
Attention to detail extends across the entire structure. The aluminium rings surrounding each woofer highlight the contrast between precision machining and tactile surface treatments. The face mask, carved from a single aluminium block through a 12-hour milling process, reveals circular grooves that echo the movement of sound waves.
The top lid references the controlled radiance of a lighthouse, providing a subtle sculptural flourish that underscores the vertical presence of the design. Purpose-made fasteners and perforated apertures introduce intricate visual touches, further emphasizing the bespoke character of the edition.

Laser-engraved elements commemorate the centenary, acknowledging both the original 2015 Beolab 90 and its contributions to modern high-end audio. Within its iconic structure, the speaker houses 18 drivers supported by dedicated amplification and advanced DSP. Beam-forming and room compensation technologies enable the system to deliver either focused listening precision or a wide, immersive soundfield.
The acoustic advancements first introduced through the Beolab 90 continue to influence the brand’s portfolio, informing products such as the Beolab 50, Beolab 28, Beosound Theatre, and Beosound Balance. That same engineering ethos extends to personal audio, shaping the Beoplay H100 headphones and the Beo Grace earphones with carefully tuned clarity and control.
As the first of five exclusive Atelier editions, the Titan Edition begins a curated centenary series produced in very limited numbers. Each piece includes a certificate of authenticity, marking its significance within the brand’s history and its relevance for future collectors.
