Cornel Swoboda warps everything we know about reality into an illusionary atmosphere of surreal wonder. Having studied graphic design in Dusseldorf, the digital designer artistically performs his craft to a high degree of aptitude that has garnered quite the laudation. A self-proclaimed “creator of weird things since 2003,” Swoboda’s latest creation “OLIGARCHS” encapsulates the breadth of his inventiveness. Coupled with Sean Crowley’s music, his animations are truly a sight witness.
Awash with sharp details and artful design choices, Swoboda illuminates his takes on fashion and technology all within a glorious 2 minutes of immersion. A complex story, a programmed ambiance often streams from his abstract graphics as their lifetime splendidly flickers before the eyes of any viewer. The range of elements that he digitally fabricates is something worth keeping an eye out for as his ingenuity truly shines through the concepts he invigorates.
Symbolism is also a route Swoboda has experimented with in his project dedicated to embodying the famous Nike Air. Using a rhino as a means to display the product as well as elevate some of its characteristics through comparison, both literal and abstract.
