Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide combines heat vibration and responsive cushioning

Nike and Hyperice have introduced the Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide, a recovery slide that combines responsive footwear cushioning with heat and vibration technology. Designed for use after sport, training, travel and daily activity, the Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide brings the two companies’ recovery systems into a wearable format. The model will be released in select global markets from September 29 through Nike, Hyperice and selected retailers.

The slide is built around a low-profile, full-length Nike Air Zoom sole. Commonly associated with performance footwear, the cushioning system provides a soft and responsive base intended for walking and everyday wear. Above the foot, a wide adjustable strap secures the slide and houses its main technological component. The restrained silhouette keeps the recovery hardware integrated into the footwear, allowing the product to function as both a comfortable slide and a portable recovery device.

A removable Hyperslide Pod connects magnetically inside the strap and applies targeted heat and vibration across the top of the foot. Users can select from three heat levels, reaching a maximum temperature of 47 degrees Celsius, and three vibration settings. Each recovery session runs for 15 minutes. Controls are positioned directly on the pod, while additional adjustments can be made through the Hyperice App. The technology draws from Hyperice’s Venom recovery products, adapting their combination of warmth and massage to a compact footwear system.

Nike and Hyperice developed the Air Zoom Hyperslide for a broad audience. It is intended for professional athletes leaving training or competition, but also for people dealing with long periods of standing, travel or regular daily movement. Feedback from elite and everyday athletes informed the balance between cushioning, temperature and vibration. According to Nike athlete Virgil van Dijk, the combination helps support foot recovery while the Air Zoom sole maintains comfort during use.

The recovery slide is the second product created through the ongoing Nike and Hyperice partnership, following the Nike x Hyperice Hyperboot. Both projects examine how recovery technology can become easier to use outside treatment rooms or fixed training facilities. For Nike Senior Director of Athlete Innovation Tobie Hatfield, the objective was to create a product that begins working as soon as it is activated, helping athletes feel relaxed and prepared for their next activity. Hyperice founder Anthony Katz describes the collaboration as a way to make advanced recovery tools more accessible through familiar footwear design.

The launch also shows how recovery equipment is moving toward smaller, wearable formats. Instead of requiring a separate device or fixed treatment session, the Hyperslide Pod can be removed, recharged and used through short controlled cycles. This practical approach makes the Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide relevant beyond professional sport, particularly for travel, prolonged standing and physically demanding schedules. Available from September 29, the product extends the Nike and Hyperice partnership into a category that sits between footwear, wellness technology and mobile recovery.
