Philip Morgan Lewi´ “When You’re Shattered” has a dynamic rock sound. With some strident guitar arrangements that howl like a banshee. The drum texture never easy its intensity, flowing with the bass in a tight adhesion. The poetry thinks about a person who is struggling with both physical and mental pain, seeking a way out of their troubles. They long to escape from their earthly struggles and reach for something more, represented by the metaphorical “blue ladders” that will take them to the sky.
