Youth Sector´s “Benign Fire in a Small Room” has a sound that is a direct train to 80´s Manchester. Their sound is polished, with a solid bass presence, nicely played guitars and rawly clear drums. The vocal adds an organic emotionalism that is a bit dark, working in a contrasting tandem with the instrumentals, driving the composition towards an exploding climax.
