Nike’s Zoom Fly 6 is setting new standards in running footwear, blending advanced cushioning with cutting-edge carbon fiber technology to create the perfect shoe for runners looking to optimize their training and race performance. Designed to push athletes to their peak, the Zoom Fly 6 integrates the performance-driven elements of Nike’s renowned “super shoes” with the versatility required for both demanding training sessions and race day.

Weighing in at least 10% lighter than its predecessor, the Zoom Fly 6 is one of Nike’s fastest trainers yet. Its updated design includes major advancements, continuing the brand’s legacy of running innovation. That broader performance lineage also includes athlete-specific silhouettes like Nike PG3. A key feature is the revamped midsole, which boasts Nike’s highest-ever stack height for their Racing collection. This is made possible by a full-length carbon fiber FlyPlate sandwiched between layers of Nike’s ZoomX and SR-02 foams.

The FlyPlate enhances forward propulsion, while the ZoomX foam, Nike’s lightest and most responsive midsole material, provides exceptional energy return with each step. The shoe’s upper has also undergone a redesign, now featuring a two-layer woven mesh system for a snug, sock-like fit that balances comfort, breathability, and durability. A new lightweight rubber outsole adds improved traction and grip, allowing runners to maintain top performance on any surface, whether tackling long runs or pushing through tempo workouts.

Elite athletes played a pivotal role in shaping the Zoom Fly 6, including legendary marathoner Eliud Kipchoge. As part of the development process, Kipchoge tested the shoe on the rugged roads near his home in Eldoret, Kenya. His insights helped fine-tune the shoe’s energy return, ensuring it balances cushioning with the responsiveness needed for both training and racing.

Kipchoge believes the Zoom Fly 6 is the ideal shoe for everyday training, noting its superiority over typical “super shoes” for long runs and interval sessions. The Zoom Fly 6 delivers high performance with exceptional cushioning and smooth transitions from heel to toe.

At launch, the Zoom Fly 6 will be available in a variety of colorways, with a special edition inspired by the red clay roads Kipchoge has trained on for years debuting in December. Runners can get their hands on the Nike Zoom Fly 6 starting November 1 and select retail stores, with Kipchoge’s signature edition following shortly after.
