About the Competition
Enter the most prestigious interactive media design competition, the Interactive Communication Arts Competition. Any interactive project created for digital distribution on a desktop computer, interactive installation, handheld device, online service, or the World Wide Web is eligible. Selected by a representative international panel of distinguished developers, interface designers and creative directors, the winning projects will be distributed around the world in Communication Arts Interactive Annual, confirming significant exposure to the creators of this exceptional work.
Each winning entrant will receive a personalized Achievement Award, made of solid aluminum, and award certificates issued to businesses, individuals, and clients.
The CA Award of Excellence is one of the most coveted awards in the industry. If chosen, winning places you at the highest rank in your profession.
Need to participate
Any project (interface design, educational and entertainment program, interactive product display, or application) created for digital distribution on a desktop computer, interactive installation, handheld device, online service, or the World Wide Web is eligible. . There is no eligibility period due to the rapidly changing nature of interactive media. Submission of an entry acknowledges Communication Arts’ right to use the entry for exhibition and publication purposes.
Interactive Quiz Categories
These categories are judged by the interactive jury and will appear in the interactive annual:
Websites/Microsites: Websites used for any purpose (including advertising, news, e-commerce, education, and entertainment using browser-based technologies).
Social: Social media apps, extensions, and games designed for social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
Desktop: Apps, widgets, brand experiences, and games designed to run locally on Mac or PC desktop/laptop computers.
Mobile: Mobile-optimized apps, websites, games, and location-based services designed for iPhone, Android, Windows, and more.
Tablets/Portable Devices: Apps, games, e-books, digital publications, and interactive sales presentations designed for tablets and portable devices other than mobile phones.
Environmental: interactive installations, kiosks, tables, showcases/shops, experiences away from home, fairs and museum exhibitions, corporate showrooms, etc.
Other Interactive Media: Any project not included in the above categories where interactivity is an integral part of the user experience.
Student Work: Any interactive project created for school work.
Entries must be submitted through our online contest system by midnight Pacific Standard Time on October 13, 2023. Entries submitted after this date incur a late fee of $10 per entry. No participation can be registered after October 27, 2023.
