During the open call, we invite creatives to submit a concept for a lightweight piece of art. Professional artists and emerging talents can submit their ideas. After a careful selection procedure, the works will be co-created with the festival, which means that you will be guided and financially supported by the festival. Rituals have traditionally helped us through all kinds of transformations; from the past to the future, from winter to summer, from youth to adulthood. Rituals connect us to our community. Amsterdam Light Festival invites artists to perform and reflect on rituals that are meaningful to the diverse community of Amsterdam.
