Vincent Laine and Olav Stubberud present design piece shaped around the signature O form
The collaboration between Vincent Laine and Olav Stubberud traces back to 2019, when their work on the Ramverk Pro hard case collection for Db formed the foundation of a creative rapport defined by contrast and precision.
Their shared curiosity grew from an unusual alignment: Stubberud’s fluid, multidisciplinary artistry intersected with Laine’s three-dimensional product practice, creating a dynamic exchange that thrives on tension.
Together they cultivate objects that juxtapose cold, engineered steel with soft, comfort-driven cushioning, allowing material opposition to shape a quietly expressive design language.

At the center of their latest piece lies a circular form with a void drawn directly from the “O” in Olav, a graphical gesture transformed into a physical presence.
The round geometry becomes a vessel for identity, linking years of Stubberud’s artistic output to a continued fascination with pastel pink, a tone that often acts as his near-signature.
In Vincent Laine’s hands, this chromatic softness is set against an industrial precision shaped by influences from NASA’s functional rigor and Bauhaus clarity. The dialogue between these two worlds forms an observatory-like attitude—forward-looking yet grounded in structural discipline.

Laine approaches each project with a mindset oriented toward future production possibilities, pushing forms to a threshold where the viewer senses a “far-fetched near future.”
This ambition shows a trained understanding of manufacturing constraints while maintaining a sense of quiet optimism.
The object becomes more than an aesthetic gesture; it becomes a meditation on what contemporary design can express when shaped by both conceptual depth and technical insight.

Over the past decade, Vincent Laine has built a career situated between commercial resonance and conceptual ambition.
His contributions to Leica’s Q and Q2 defined a contemporary chapter for the brand, introducing a clarity and tactile presence that continues to influence its identity.
At Db, his development of the Ramverk Pro collection and his direction of the brand supported its evolution toward a new tier of recognition, culminating in investment from LVMH Luxury Ventures in 2024.

Today, Vincent Laine operates through two parallel practices. Under his own name he collaborates with global brands to create objects that strengthen their character through distilled form.
Through ANAGRAM, his independent studio, he frames future-oriented projects shaped by fluidity across disciplines and categories.
The work with Stubberud stands as an example of this trajectory: an object shaped by dual authorship, material interplay, and a commitment to pushing design into territories where imagination aligns with production-ready clarity.
