I go by 11v151131_M06, I am a visual and sound artist, born in Mexico and based in Berlin. I have been working with CGI for over a decade as an art director for multiple brands and as a commissioned artist.
HOW WOULD YOU BEST DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
I use the acronym ( f2R. Occultism ) for future occultism, the idea is derived from the practice of futuristic aspects present throughout the existence of human history through ancient artifacts. In my produced works, I thrive in combining sequences that are within reach such as nature in which I create an alternative narrative.
HOW DID YOU GET INTO ART?
I dropped out of school at an early age. I studied photography and contemporary art and was able to hone my skills in fine arts. As a self-taught digital artist and being technically trained by the industry, I was able to develop my aesthetic by combining different methods.
WHO OR WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR MAJOR INFLUENCES?
I am heavily inspired by Jungian archetypes of human nature. Carl Jung’s universal theory combines the shared unconscious ancestral ideology which shows the connection to the past, present, and future. I strongly believe that this defines our personal view of the world.
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR WORKING PROCESS?
I usually do not have a thought process behind the artwork. I create based on my instincts and visual memories of biological and natural surroundings.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO CREATE?
Being able to present and represent a view of my world. Sharing it and making everyone part of it. <3
WHAT IS YOUR STUDIO LIKE?
I have a home studio full of machines and plants. Half of it is dedicated to hardware for sound and the other half has my workstation and objects I’ve collected over the years which I miss terribly while traveling.
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING ON?
I am currently creating an art program for digital artists which focuses on bringing together artists from all around the world to collaborate and create. I am aiming to position digital art with fine art within established institutions.
