A journey through timeless design and Italian craftsmanship by Dimorestudio

Dimorestudio presents a vision of timeless sophistication with the La Dolce Vita Orient Express, a project that translates the grandeur of Italian design into a new era of luxury travel.

Founded in Milan by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran in 2003, the studio continues to express its mastery in atmosphere and proportion through interiors that merge art, materiality, and narrative precision.

Rooted in the Italian tradition of refined living, the train becomes an immersive journey through design history. Its interiors recall the golden decades of the 1960s and 1970s, when Italian creativity defined global aesthetics.

References to Cini Boeri, Claudio Salocchi, and Mario Marenco appear in subtle gestures—curves, textures, and finishes that celebrate both innovation and craftsmanship.

The artistic resonance of Giuseppe Capogrossi, Agostino Bonalumi, and Enrico Castellani introduces a tactile rhythm, transforming each carriage into a contemplative space where art and architecture coexist.

Every surface within the La Dolce Vita Orient Express reveals meticulous craftsmanship. Walnut wood panels meet polished brass details, while deep velvet upholstery brings warmth and depth to the palette.

Dimorestudio’s approach values authenticity over opulence, creating interiors that feel lived-in yet immaculate. Lighting fixtures, inspired by mid-century design, cast a golden hue that enhances the sense of continuity between eras.

Furniture pieces are designed exclusively for the train, their proportions calibrated to the movement of travel. Textiles carry the softness of memory, with tactile fabrics that resonate with Italian heritage.

Each corridor and suite becomes an expression of refined restraint, where material and light construct a dialogue of elegance and comfort.

According to Moran and Salci, the vision was to achieve a design that feels naturally timeless. The intention was not to replicate the past but to reinterpret its atmosphere through a contemporary lens. The result is an experience that transcends nostalgia, bringing together historic influence and modern sensibility without artifice.

The La Dolce Vita Orient Express stands as an environment where travel becomes a form of artistic immersion. More than a journey across landscapes, it is a passage through decades of Italian ingenuity, inviting guests to inhabit a narrative that unites heritage and innovation with rare coherence.
