Oakley uses titanium and O-Matter to create floating lens design
Oakley has introduced Infiniloop, a limited-edition eyewear design built around the geometry of an uninterrupted frame line. Developed as part of the brand’s experimental design work, the model reduces the frame to a minimal structure that carries the lenses across the face without fully enclosing them.
The design is based on a specific structural challenge: creating the fewest possible lines needed to support a lens. Infiniloop responds with an upper and lower frame that meet only at selected contact points. This creates an open composition in which the frame appears to trace a continuous loop, while the lenses remain visibly suspended within the structure.

Oakley uses two materials to define the frame’s different functions. Titanium forms the upper section, giving the eyewear strength, lightness and precision. O-Matter, the brand’s lightweight performance material, shapes the lower section, adding flexibility and durability. The two materials work together without creating a heavy outline, allowing the frame to feel technical but visually reduced.
The exposed lens edges are one of the defining features of Infiniloop. Because the frame does not surround the lenses in the usual way, negative space becomes part of the design. The open areas between titanium, O-Matter and lens make the object feel closer to a wearable structure than a conventional pair of sunglasses.

Infiniloop will be available in limited quantities in Polished Chrome and Matte Black with Prizm Black lenses. The Polished Chrome version highlights the reflective quality of the titanium line, while the Matte Black edition gives the eyewear a more compact visual character. Prizm lens technology connects the release to Oakley’s performance background, where contrast and visual clarity remain part of the product’s function.
The release is connected to Future Genesis, Oakley’s creative storytelling platform. Alongside the eyewear, the brand is launching a collector’s set of comic books from Future Genesis Chapter 2. The comics continue the story of Maxine Fearlight, linking Infiniloop to the fictional universe that shaped its launch.
