Description
We need an skillfull UI/UX Artist with an interest in UI and UX development in-game and front-end for AAA game projects. As a member of our UI team, you’ll work closely with UI engineers to develop and implement great UI for amazing clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement the user interface using proprietary middleware and user interface tools.
- Create a visual and interactive design, following a consistent style guide and maintaining consistency.
- Manage high visual fidelity, competitive aesthetics, presenting game information in a clear and understandable way.
- Keep game-ready assets for use in user interfaces, such as textures, icons, and fonts.
- Create and review UI concepts and prototype flows to set the direction of the UI
- Work with UI engineers to implement assets to ensure correct functionality and visual fidelity.
- Wireframe design and UX documentation
Skills Requirements
- Quality at all stages of the process: creation of organized, well-presented and defined UI/UX designs, workflows and files, from initial design to implementation.
- Design Planning – Solve creative problems by adapting a 2D concept, balancing form and function, always on top of the entire pipeline and requirements.
- Technical proficiency: Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Animate and Photoshop and understanding of common software and development tools.
- Art Fundamentals: A solid understanding of UI/UX design and principles.
- Variety and Iteration – The ability to provide multiple creative options and then iterate as projects progress.
- Adaptability: Quick and fluid change to new requirements and processes when necessary.
- Work with a brief: Understand creative briefs, then consider things like context, deadlines, and creative constraints when solving tasks.
- Time Management – Create high-quality work on time.
- Collaboration: Receptive to receiving feedback and working with teammates and clients.
Requirements
- Excellent graphic design skills and ability to tailor your range and integrate with new and existing IPs.
- Able to design and create a user interface, from the wireframe to the concept, from the prototype to the final version.
- Excellent use of typography, composition, color theory, and motion graphics.
- Proven experience using basic tools such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Animate.
- Desirable experience in creating interfaces in game engines.
- Relax by communicating and collaborating with engineering and production.
- Wanting to get it right, redo/iterate the job until you get the desired result.
- Task oriented, self-motivated and proactive.
- Fast learner, able to quickly adopt new software and workflows.
- You must be patient and polite, but also able to judge when it is necessary to back off.
- A good knowledge of 3D modeling is not necessary, but it is an advantage.
- Competence or ability to learn relevant software; XD, Axure, Perforce, Jira, Basecamp, and Confluence.
- Understand animation timing.
- Experience in multiplayer game titles and live service titles.
